Christine joined the British Asian Trust as Director of Fundraising in August 2024 and is an experienced fundraising leader, passionate about empowering teams to succeed and work collaboratively. She has a strong background in partnership and philanthropic fundraising securing gifts from Comic Relief, Sport England, National Lottery Community Fund, the London Stock Exchange Group Foundation amongst others.
Most recently she was Director of Income Generation at Terrence Higgins Trust leading a multi-disciplinary directorate of 25 to achieve year on year growth, including the most successful World AIDS Day fundraising since the pandemic and redefining the philanthropic programme.
Previously she was Head of Philanthropy, Trusts, and Legacies at Leonard Cheshire where she led teams to secure large scale strategic partnerships across both UK and international programmes.
She completed her BA in Anthropology at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virgina USA and her MA in Anthropology and Cultural Politics at Goldsmith’s College, University of London.

Sian started out in student fundraising over 12 years ago and is now the Head of Public Fundraising at the National Trust. Previously she’s worked at Terrence Higgins Trust, Alzheimer’s Society and Breast Cancer Now leading teams to create incredible donor experiences through Challenge Events, Community Fundraising, Legacy and Individual Giving. She feels passionately about developing fantastic life time journeys for donors through delivering incredible stewardship and showing impact.
Whilst studying at The University of Manchester Sian joined the RAG committee and fell in love with fundraising, even doing an internship in the fundraising products team at Barnardo’s during her second year. Her love of fundraising means she’s passionate about developing high performing teams that create incredible relationships both internally and externally.
Before joining National Trust in 2024, Sian was the Assistant Director of Public Fundraising and Supporter Experience at Terrence Higgins Trust (where she met Christine!)
